JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Charity Linique, which was another name for Charity Huntley, was a rising star in Jacksonville as a singer. Her body was found Thursday morning, and her mother says that the cause of her death is still being looked into.
The Medical Examiner’s Office says it will take up to 90 days to get the results of Huntley’s autopsy.
The funeral for Huntley will take place at All People International Church on 1993 Edgewood Avenue West on Saturday, April 22 at 11 a.m.
She leaves behind a loving family. Her mother, Mary Huntley, said she knew something was wrong when Huntley didn’t answer the phone on Wednesday and Thursday when her body was found.
Thursday at 1:30 p.m., the police called Mary Huntley to tell her that they had found the body of Charity Huntley at 9 a.m.
“I want them to think of her as she was… “C. Linique was smart, talented, encouraging, inspiring, a good listener, a friend, funny, goofy, and I want that to be her legacy,” said Mary Huntley.
