After escaping the house and leading police on a car chase that resulted in the suspect’s car crashing into a ditch, the shooting suspect subsequently passed away, according to authorities. During a party at a house in northern Kentucky early on Saturday, there was a shooting that left four people dead and three injured, according to authorities.
According to Florence police chief Jeff Mallery, when officers arrived at a house about 2:50 a.m., they heard gunfire. At a press conference, Mallery informed the reporters that seven shooting victims had been discovered at the residence.
According to police, four bodies were discovered. Three individuals were transferred in critical condition to a Cincinnati hospital. According to Mallery, a recovery was anticipated.
Police named the suspect as 21-year-old Chase Garvey, who led them on a pursuit that came to a stop when his car veered off the road and into a ditch. Garvey shot himself in the head and passed away in a hospital, according to the police.
There was no continuous threat to the public, according to the police, and the suspect acted alone.
The homeowner’s 21-year-old son was celebrating his birthday, and many had gathered at the house, according to Mallery.

According to the police chief, Melissa Parrett, 44, the homeowner, lost her life in the incident. Mallery stated that although Garvey seemed to know some of the guests, he had not received an invitation.
According to investigators, Shane Miller, 20, Hayden Rybicki, 20, and Delaney Eary, 19, were also slain in the shooting. An investigation was underway to determine a motivation.
“I know what’s going on throughout the nation, but this is the first time that we’ve had a mass shooting in Florence,” Mallery stated. “Yeah, it is very emotional. My emotions are for the victims, their families, the officers that responded, everybody that was touched by this situation.”
Leah Moore, a neighbor, told The Associated Press that at around two in the morning, she heard what she believed to be firecrackers. Police lights later woke her up once more.
In a phone interview, Moore, 23, stated, “I saw crime tape, I saw a bunch of cops, I saw all the kids in one of my neighbors’ yards across the street.”
Moore claimed to have a close relationship with Parrett and her family, calling them “great, amazing people.”
“She is so wholesome, so welcoming, and she is the best person I’ve ever met,” Moore stated.
