FORT MYERS, Fla. – A woman from Lehigh Acres is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly leaving the scene of a serious crash involving a Dodge Challenger and an ATV.
The crash occurred on July 23 in Lehigh Acres, where the ATV rider sustained serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol.
Following the collision, the driver of the Dodge Challenger fled the scene in another vehicle. However, shortly after, that second vehicle was also involved in a separate crash, which was investigated by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect then fled on foot from the scene of the second crash.
Authorities identified the suspected driver as Amber Jean Tremblay, a 33-year-old resident of Lehigh Acres.
The FHP reported that they stopped a vehicle in Lee County on Tuesday evening and found Tremblay as a passenger, leading to her arrest.
Tremblay has been charged with eight offenses, including three counts of hit-and-run, three counts of reckless driving, and driving with a suspended license (third offense), as indicated by jail records.
She is currently being held at the Lee County Jail.
