According to court records, a Colorado man who admitted to killing five individuals whose bodies were discovered there in 2020 was given five life sentences.
According to his sentence order, Adre Baroz, 29, entered a guilty plea in February to five counts of first-degree murder and tampering with a deceased human corpse, in addition to charges of assault and kidnapping.
Baroz was charged with organizing the killings over a seven-week period, dismembering the victims, and burning their remains in pits.
Following the discovery of three victims’ remains on two remote Lasauses, Colorado, properties close to the New Mexico border, Baroz was taken into custody in November 2020, as reported by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
Ultimately, the criminal complaint against him named five people he was charged with killing: Myron Martinez, Shayla Hammel, Selena Esquibel, Xavier “Zeven” Garcia, and Korina Arroyo.
On May 3, Baroz was given two consecutive life sentences along with an extra 140 years behind bars. Three additional men—among them Baroz’s brother—have entered guilty pleas to crimes related to the fatalities and received sentences.

According to the sentencing order, Julius Anthony Baroz, the brother, entered a guilty plea to conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and was given a 25-year jail sentence.
According to his docket, Francisco Ramirez entered a guilty plea to three counts of tampering with a deceased human body and received a 24-year prison sentence.
According to his docket, CJ Dominguez entered a guilty plea to tampering with a deceased human body and received a 12-year prison sentence.
