Major Drug Bust in Riviera Beach Over 2 Dozen Grams of Fentanyl Seized

The Riviera Beach Police Department (RBPD) conducted a raid and seized a significant amount of illegal substances, including over two dozen grams of fentanyl and MDPV, along with multiple illegal firearms, ammunition, and drug processing equipment.

Following the receipt of information about illegal drugs and firearms at a residence on West Second Street, an officer from the RBPD Vice Unit obtained a search warrant.

The execution of the warrant resulted in the confiscation of the illegal items and the subsequent arrest of an individual named Richard Johnson, as stated in a news release on Friday.

Richard Johnson was taken into custody and transported to the Palm Beach County Jail. The seized contraband included 22.2 grams of fentanyl, 4.8 grams of MDPV, three firearms with ammunition, magazines, and drug processing equipment.

According to the news release, Richard Johnson faces multiple charges, including trafficking fentanyl, possession of MDPV, three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of drug paraphernalia, and child neglect.

As a result of the investigation, the minor present in the house was taken into the care of Department of Children and Family investigators.
