Due to his involvement in a methamphetamine trafficking ring operating out of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Northern California, a man from Maine has been sentenced.
U.S. District Court Judge Leo Sorokin sentenced 44-year-old Jacob Parlin of Lebanon, Maine, to 12 years in prison and 5 years of supervised release, according to the Massachusetts Department of Justice.
One count of conspiracy to distribute and one count of distribution and possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine were found to have been committed by Parlin by a federal jury in November 2023.
In December 2021, Parlin and nine other individuals were charged for their involvement in a narcotics trafficking ring headed by co-defendant Harry Tam, also known as “Legendary H.” Parlin was found to be one of Tam’s reliable business associates, with whom he had collaborated to distribute methamphetamine throughout Maine, according to the inquiry.
As per their business agreement, Tam would mail supplies of methamphetamine to his Brookline, Massachusetts, business from California or another location. After that, Parlin would receive the methamphetamine to distribute around his Maine town.
