On Saturday, a fortunate player of the Massachusetts State Lottery purchased a $50,000 winning Powerball ticket at a Bellingham convenience store.
The ticket was bought on Saturday at the Pulaski Boulevard Hilltop Farms convenience shop.
Players choose one Powerball number between 1 and 26 and five numbers between 1 and 69. After that, they decide how many drawings to utilize those numbers for.
The jackpot is won by players who match all five numbers and the Powerball number. This gives them a 1 in 292,201,338 probability of winning.
$50,000 is awarded to players who match four numbers plus the Powerball number. Their chances of winning in this manner are 1 in 913,129.18.
As of Sunday, the Powerball jackpot prize was $315 million. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. are Powerball drawing days.
Every day, the Massachusetts State Lottery publishes a complete list of the winning tickets. Only winning tickets totaling more than $600 are included on the list.

The biggest lottery win in Massachusetts this year was for $1 million, which was awarded as a lifelong annual prize.
The winnings came from a scratch-off ticket game called “Lifetime Millions” in the lottery. On July 10, the winner chose to accept a $15.4 million lump sum payout rather than having their award claimed through a trust.
