For the holiday shopping season, Target is lowering the cost of over 2,000 items. The action continues a recent trend in which fast-food and retail establishments are trying to attract consumers on a tight budget by offering discounted items and value meals.
Target, a company based in Minneapolis, announced on Tuesday that it would lower the prices of national and Target-owned goods, including food and drink, toys, cough medicine, and other Christmas presents.
The move follows Target’s May price reduction of over 5,000 of its products, which has now reduced the number of discounted items this year to over 8,000. The business stated that it will have reduced the cost of over 10,000 items by the end of the holiday season.
Target claims that the following reduced prices are available in the majority of its almost 2,000 locations, on Target.com, and on its app in cities ranging from Phoenix to Atlanta:

Target announced its cuts a few days after Aldi announced the lowest Thanksgiving spread price in five years, outperforming a bid by Walmart, its larger rival, by roughly two dollars. The fast-food chains’ $5 value lunches are echoed by the bargain stores.
