WPBN: After turning himself in to the authorities in Missouri and telling them that he had tragically killed his father by stabbing him around fifty times, the man was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder.
Although he drove to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday night and allegedly informed the officers, “I made a mistake,” Jeffrey Goedde, who is 41 years old, is still being held in custody from that time. There is a crime that I have done, and I would like to turn myself in.
The criminal complaint states that he provided a description of his alleged actions. He stated that his father, Edward Goedde, Jr., who was 75 years old, was “unconscious in the kitchen” of the house where they both lived and was “bleeding from his face and back.”
He also stated that his father “may have used a kitchen knife and other weapons” in addition to his own hands, but he was unable to recall the specifics of his actions.
When the police arrived at the scene, they entered the house through the window that was located in the basement in order to conduct a welfare check.
There was a “strong presence of bleach in the house” as they arrived at the location described. “Deceased and face down” was the description of the body that was discovered in the kitchen belonging to Edward Goedde, Jr. According to the allegations made by the authorities, after Jeffrey Goedde was informed of the discovery, he admitted that he was unable to leave “because he accidentally killed someone.”
He also stated that he desired to go before a lawyer and that he would not answer any further questions.
