Police and the FBI are currently on the lookout for Kimberlee Singler, a 35-year-old Colorado mother suspected of killing two of her children and injuring another.
The Colorado Springs police revealed on Thursday that Singler is accused of fabricating a burglary at her home earlier this month, during which two of her three children were discovered dead.
Singler, last seen on December 23, is now the subject of a warrant that includes charges of four counts of felony first-degree murder, two counts of felony attempted murder, three counts of felony child abuse, and one count of felony first-degree assault.
The incident unfolded on December 19 when Colorado Springs police responded to a 911 call reporting a burglary. Upon arrival, they found Singler and an 11-year-old girl injured, alongside a 9-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy who had tragically lost their lives.
Both the mother and the injured daughter received initial treatment at the scene before being transported to a local hospital, as reported by authorities.
After conducting a thorough investigation, the police declared that the initial report of a burglary was found to be “unfounded,” as stated in a press release.
On December 26, the police established probable cause for the murders and secured an arrest warrant for Singler. She faces charges including four counts of first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree attempted murder, three counts of child abuse, and one count of assault, according to the arrest warrant.
Although a $10 million bond was set for Singler by the court, the specifics of the arrest warrant are currently sealed under a court order, as mentioned by the police.
It was also reported by the police that Singler’s 11-year-old daughter is in recovery and is safe and accounted for in the Colorado Springs area.
