Mother of 11 Children Recounts Heartbreaking Van Crash Incident

The mother of 11 children who were involved in a van crash shared her account with WINK News about the incident. According to Robin Williams, a close friend of the family, Natalie Burke was driving the van when it collided with another car on Joel Boulevard in Lehigh Acres.

All those involved in the accident were rushed to the hospital. Natalie’s 11-year-old daughter suffered a lacerated spleen.

Natalie Burke said, “My daughter is having a hard time. She has a long recovery ahead, but she’s going to be okay.”

Now, everyone has returned home and is in the process of recovering. Unfortunately, the Burke family lost their van in the crash, and on top of that, Natalie’s mother passed away on Tuesday.

Williams expressed his sorrow, saying, “It’s just so devastating that this happened – the accident and then this additional tragedy. My heart goes out to her. I’m very sad for her.”

Family and friends are rallying together to support Natalie and her family during this challenging time. Mickaayla Kimball, a family friend, mentioned that they still need items like booster seats for the young children, car seats, and school supplies.

These items will be helpful in easing the financial burden of getting another vehicle and handling the funeral arrangements.

If anyone wishes to offer assistance, the family is in need of back-to-school supplies, dog food, hay for horses, and car seats. For more information on how to help, you can contact Mickaylaa Kimball at 239-560-3110.
