After a six-week nationwide law enforcement operation, hundreds of missing youngsters were found by the officers. Including Eastern North Carolina, seven places nationwide participated in Operation “We Will Find You 2.”

Out of the 200 children who were located, 57% were found and retrieved within the first seven days of the US Marshals being involved. The US Justice Department released a news release with those specifics.

US marshals have reportedly located 200 missing children nationwide, according to a DOJ news release.

From May 20 to June 24, the operation was carried out in seven locations around the nation, including this same spot in Eastern North Carolina.

U.S. Marshal Glenn McNeill Jr. discussed his involvement in the operation as follows:

“We are very thankful to be one of the seven districts that was selected to be a part of the operation ‘we will find you too’. We are responsible for law enforcement services in 44 counties that cover some 26,000 square miles.”
With twelve counties, Eastern North Carolina had the most of all the locations chosen for the operation. Geographical areas with significant concentrations of children who are dangerously missing were the focus of the effort.

To obtain precise figures for Eastern North Carolina, we’re still working.

The Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act, which was passed in 2015, gave the US Marshals greater power to assist in the recovery of missing children.

123 children were taken out of unsafe situations nationwide as a result of the operation, and 77 youngsters were located in safe places.
