New Ohio Initiatives Set to Create 1,600 Jobs and Attract $185M+ in Investments

Eight projects were approved by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted, resulting in the creation of 1,664 new jobs and the retention of 2,201 jobs statewide.

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) met monthly to discuss economic development projects proposed by JobsOhio and its affiliates around the state. Over $185 million will be invested across Ohio, and over $138 million will be added to the existing payroll as a consequence of these projects.

In the city of Columbus (Franklin County), where Gifthealth, Inc. has an expansion project underway, the anticipated outcome is the creation of 751 FTE jobs and the generation of over $56.4 million in additional yearly payroll.
