According to a Dutch National authorities source, Nicki Minaj was taken into custody by authorities at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.
A 41-year-old woman was detained, according to a statement from the Dutch police, for attempting to flee the nation while in “possession of soft drugs, which is prohibited.”
Later, the police department announced that she was no longer in detention.
“After consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect was fined and can continue her journey,” Dutch police posted on X.
An notification from the venue on X stated that Minaj’s planned show in Manchester, England, was rescheduled for this Saturday.
😩 now they said they found weed & that another group of ppl have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls. Keep in mind they took my bags without consent. My security has already advised them those pre-rolls belong to him. Oh yea & the pilot wants me to take my ig post down.

“Despite Nicki’s best efforts to explore every possible avenue to make tonight’s show happen, the events of today have made it impossible,” Co-op Live stated in a statement. “We are deeply disappointed by the inconvenience this has caused.”
The 12-time Grammy nominee earlier shared a video of herself talking with a police officer about the arrest on Instagram Live. When she inquired the basis for her detention, the officer told her that it was “because you’re carrying drugs” that she was being held.

Minaj updated her fans on the exciting happenings via X on social media. “They now claim to have discovered marijuana and that more people must visit in order to weigh the pre-rolls.
Remember that they removed my bags without my permission. They’ve already been informed by my security that those pre-rolls are his. “Oh yeah, and the pilot requests that I remove my Instagram post,” she stated in a post.
X was trending the hashtag #FREENICKI ever since the arrest was made public.
