The Harford County Sheriff’s Office reported that Wesley Lyons, who was charged with killing a man at a birthday celebration for a child at Harford Mall, was taken into custody on Sunday afternoon.
Lyons, 35, was apprehended when it was discovered that he was holed up in a hotel room in Anne Arundel County.
He’ll face charges in connection with the June 2 shooting that happened at the Harford Bounce Party Place and injured a 42-year-old man.
According to deputies, law enforcement tracked Lyons’s whereabouts inside Anne Arundel County.
“Since the shooting, the Warrant Unit has worked tirelessly and in conjunction with Bel Air Police Department investigators to bring the suspect to justice,” the Harford County Sheriff’s Office stated.
Lyons’s specific hotel room and car were identified through “extensive physical surveillance,” the sheriff’s office stated. Two women, identified as Lyons’s mother Lisa Gregg and her purported girlfriend Lateia Green, were taken into custody when it was thought they were involved.

According to the documents, Gregg and another lady got into a punching “altercation” during which punches were thrown. It is reported that Green attempted to dissuade Gregg from the altercation.
The State’s Attorney claims that Lyons fired a handgun at the victim multiple times, “as if trying to intentionally kill” him, based on security footage.
The trio drove off with Lyons’s maroon SUV, which was subsequently discovered close to his Edgewood house.
According to the State’s Attorney’s Office, Green and Gregg had a “significant role” in keeping Lyons’ whereabouts a secret. Gregg was not given a bond; Green, on the other hand, was and remains under house arrest.
“The Harford County Sheriff’s Office remains steadfast in its mission to uphold the law and protect the citizens of Harford County,” the Harford County Sheriff’s Office stated. “We extend our appreciation to the community for their support and patience throughout this investigation.”
