A $10,000 reward is being offered for information that results in the apprehension of a guy who, according to the police, broke into at least two Wilton Manors tobacco shops this month.
According to the authorities, the individual was observed by multiple cameras in and around Art Frenzie during the drive in Wilton Manors on July 19 at approximately 1:19 a.m.
On camera, the man can be seen kicking, pulling, and stabbing the glass door of the custom framing and art gallery early on Friday before entering; however, he wasn’t seeking the artwork.
Authorities verified that about $4,860 worth of merchandise was taken from the company by the intruder.
Drag on the Drive Hemp & Specialty Gifts owner Candice Rossi said, “I was just in shock because we’ve never had this happen.”
According to Rossi, the man broke down a door leading to a second business inside the gallery using a tool after entering. And with that, the man went to work.
“He had obviously been here before because he knew exactly where to go,” Rossi stated. “He was just looking for pre-rolls. He went to exactly where the pre-rolls were and loaded up his bag.”
