The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that a man was taken into custody early on Monday morning following an altercation in which he threatened to kill every employee at a business.

Tito Evan-Lloyd, 39, allegedly threatened his former employer with a gun, according to officials. Deputies were called to the 4400 block of Eagle Falls Place at 10:30 in the morning.

Evan-Lloyd reportedly confronted the manager after becoming irate over a paycheck, according to the sheriff’s office. He is charged with making threats to kill everyone while brandishing a concealed weapon.

Investigators claim that he took off following the incident. The HCSO reports that at a residence on the 400 block of Royal Palm Empress Drive in Ruskin, deputies discovered Evan-Lloyd.

After being taken into custody, he is accused of the following:

  • Using a lethal weapon in an aggressive manner
  • Felon in possession of a hidden weapon
  • Criminal with a firearm in their possession

“It is shocking that someone would resort to such extreme measures over a $75 matter. Violence and intimidation have no place in Hillsborough County,” Sheriff Chad Chronister in a statement stated. “The suspect’s actions were a serious threat to public safety, and our deputies did an outstanding job in bringing him into custody quickly.”

The inquiry is still on.
