Two guys are in trouble for drug-related activities after getting pulled over in a Walmart parking lot in Lee County.
The Sanford Police Department noticed suspicious behavior involving drugs in the Walmart parking lot at 3209 Highway 87 South. As a result, the police stopped two vehicles to investigate.
Upon searching one of the vehicles, the police found 14.7 grams of cocaine and $33,513 in cash.
Quajuan Waltez-Diade Gilchrist, a 35-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, and David Lee Burnette, a 26-year-old from Durham, were arrested without any issues, according to Sanford police.
Gilchrist is facing charges for having cocaine with the intent to sell and deliver, keeping a vehicle for controlled substances, and possessing drug paraphernalia. He is in the Lee County Jail with a $10,000 secured bond.
On the other hand, Burnette was arrested for outstanding warrants from Durham County and is held in the Lee County Jail with a $5,000 secured bond.
