A Lexus found drowned in a canal in Northern California contained the bodies of two men. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the vehicle was connected to a mid-July missing persons alert that the Yuba City Police Department had sent out.
The submerged car was discovered in the Glenn Colusa Canal, which is situated along Highway 45 just south of Hamilton City, according to a CHP division in Glenn County that received notification from the sheriff’s office.
On July 20, 2024, the CHP released a Silver Alert for James Adams, 89, and Ronny Adams, 57, two persons who are missing.
Because of their medical issues, both men were deemed to be at danger. The Lexus that was discovered in the canal was the identical vehicle that was thought to be carrying both males at the time the alert was issued.

The identity of the two individuals who were discovered dead in the canal at the time of the collision remain unknown to investigators.
According to the CHP, evidence discovered close to the canal did show that the car was being driven by an unidentified individual at a fast pace on County Road 203. Before the driver overcorrected and slammed into a tree, the car drifted off the east side of the road. After that, the Lexus stopped in the canal.
For missing people who are deemed at-risk and who are old or have developmental or cognitive impairments, the California Highway Patrol issues Silver Alerts.
