Shocking Knife-Wielding Man's Rampage Ends in Fatal Police Shootout!

CARUTHERS, California – Dozens of Fresno County officers are still at the scene, where three deputies shot and killed a man with two knives. They are still trying to figure out what happened.

At 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, officials received calls about someone holding a knife near Valley Food on Tahoe and Henderson Avenues in Caruthers.

Deputies say it started at the Caruthers fairs, where the suspect, who has not been named, tried to get student-athletes to come to him.

When the suspect pulled out a knife, the kids told their coaches, who tried to talk to him. Officials say a parent tried to talk to the suspect, but the suspect pulled out a different knife and tried to stab the parent.

When the cops arrived, they say they tried to calm things down without using violence, but after ten minutes, it was clear that wasn’t going to work.

At one point, officials say, the suspect stood up, pulled a bigger knife out of his back, and charged the officers, which caused all three deputies to fire their handguns.

Officials say they tried to help the man get better, but he died at the scene.

Authorities say that no deputies or other people were hurt in the shooting, and the officers who fired their guns have been put on leave while they look into what happened.

From Mount View Avenue to Henderson Avenue, you can’t drive on Tahoe Avenue.

Deputies say to stay away from this area and that a search is going on.
