MIAMI – On Monday night, a woman reportedly jumped to her death in an attempt to evade Miami police. The officers were responding to reports of a possible theft and found the woman, who was allegedly armed, on the rooftop of a highrise building in the area of NE 5th Avenue and 30th Street.
The officers established a small perimeter and attempted to apprehend the woman. However, the woman jumped from the building and suffered critical injuries. She was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital but ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
The woman’s identity has not been released, and the investigation is still ongoing, according to the police.
