One person was killed and another was injured in a shooting that took place close to the intersection of West 13th Street and North Davis Street in Jacksonville, Florida.
The event took place on Thursday afternoon at three o’clock, and an automatic gunshot detection system was the one that made the initial discovery.
The casualties, a young boy and an older man, were quickly recognized and identified by authorities.
One of the victims was taken by bystanders, while the other was cared to by members of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
The man’s condition is critical, but it is anticipated that he will pull through this. Sadly, the teenage guy did not recover from his injuries and passed away in the hospital.
As of right now, it is unknown whether the two victims were connected in any way, and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is seeking the assistance of the general public in gathering additional information regarding the incident.
Shell casings and other pieces of evidence are currently being analyzed as part of their inquiry, which is currently ongoing.
In addition to that, potential pieces of evidence have been located in the surrounding locations.
