Following allegations that he had threatened to blow up a hospital with a bomb, the Broward Sheriff’s Office this week detained a 36-year-old man.

Guerdouin Montimer, a resident of Tamarac, was reportedly taken into custody on Monday afternoon and sent to the BSO Main Jail, according to BSO speaking representative Gerdy St. Louis.

Montimer, she added, is alleged to have threatened HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital, which is situated at 7201 N. University Drive in Tamarac, with a bomb on Monday morning when he called Broward Crime Stoppers.

Montimer was located later that day close to the 7000 block of West Commercial Boulevard in Tamarac after police were able to identify him as the caller, according to St. Louis.

Montimer is charged with two counts of fabricating information in relation to the planting of a bomb, explosion, or WMD.
