Tampa and Florida Cities Excel in Rankings

The city of Tampa and other Florida cities rank first for working remotely. A recent survey has put three locations in the Sunshine State among the top 25 ideal destinations for remote workers. This comes as remote and hybrid working continue to gain favor among employers and employees alike.

According to this research carried out by the apartment search engine Rent.com, the city of Orlando shines brightest, achieving the top place overall. The results of the study were used to compile a list of the “Best Cities for Remote Work,” which took into account factors such as the cost of rent, the availability of high-speed internet, the average amount of time spent working from home, and the availability of coworking spaces. The entire list included a total of one hundred cities.

In addition to Orlando, the cities of Daytona Beach (ranked 11th) and Fort Lauderdale (ranked 21st) are included in the top 25. Interestingly, the only other states to have more than one city placed in the top 25 are Georgia and South Carolina. Florida was the only state to have more than one city make the list.

Tampa and other Florida communities continued to make their impact on the list, with Tampa coming in at number 27, Miami at number 34, West Palm Beach at number 40, Clearwater at number 46, Jacksonville at number 49, Lakeland at number 61, Miami Beach at number 66, and Hialeah at number 90.

The survey was carried out at a time when there has been a major shift in labor patterns. According to research published by the Pew Research Center, around 35 percent of the workforce in the United States is currently conducted entirely remotely.

In addition to this, 41% of people doing occupations that can be done entirely online have switched to hybrid schedules, in which they combine days spent in the office with days spent working from home. The Rent.com study, on the other hand, did not take into consideration the varying levels of worker productivity among locales.

It is apparent that Florida is well-positioned to support this trend with several cities that fulfill the diverse needs of remote workers. This is because Florida is well-positioned to promote remote employment. Keep up with the latest developments to understand how this trend affects the ever-changing working world.
