A Lamborghini and several other vehicles were involved in a high-speed crash on the 79th Street Causeway in Miami on Monday night, resulting in one driver’s death and the arrest of another driver, as reported by the Miami Police.

The incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. in the 1200 block of Northeast 79th Street, near the bridge close to the Pelican Harbor Marina.

According to the arrest report, the driver of a Lamborghini Urus was traveling at a high speed in the westbound direction and attempted to maneuver to avoid colliding with a Hyundai Elantra.

However, the Lamborghini driver lost control and collided with the Elantra, causing both vehicles to spin and slide to the top of the bridge, as stated in the report.

The impact of the collision caused the Elantra to strike the curb, ejecting its driver, who subsequently collided with a street light pole. Regrettably, the driver, whose identity has not been disclosed, was airlifted to a nearby hospital and was pronounced deceased.

A passenger who was in the Elantra was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Fortunately, there were no other reported injuries.

The Lamborghini overturned and slid approximately 290 feet, striking a Ford Escape and then a Ford F-250 pickup, according to the report.
