According to jail documents, popular rapper Travis Scott was taken into custody early on Thursday in Miami on suspicion of trespassing and disorderly intoxication.

According to jail records, Scott—whose true name is Jacques Bermon Webster—was booked at 4:35 a.m. local time. Additionally, according to jail records, he posted a $650 bond and was let out.

According to the Miami Beach Police Department, the rapper was “yelling obscenities” at someone on a yacht in Miami Beach Marina early on Thursday morning. When police arrived, they “could sense a strong smell of alcohol” on his breath.

The individual on the yacht told police he just wanted Scott off the boat and didn’t want to seek charges.

The rapper was given a police order to get off the dock or face arrest. Scott “walked backwards yelling obscenities to the occupants of the vessel,” according to police, as he approached the boardwalk.

Five minutes after being told to leave the marina, Scott, according to the police, turned around and headed back toward the yacht. When he was told not to leave by the officers, Scott allegedly “began yelling” and being “erratic.”

Following his arrest, the rapper reportedly admitted to drinking and said, “It’s Miami,” to the police report from the station house.

On behalf of himself, Scott entered a signed not guilty plea in answer to the misdemeanor accusations against him.

Following his release, the 33-year-old musician posted the simple message “Lol” on X, the website that was formerly known as Twitter. In addition, he posted a meme to his Instagram story that made his mugshot look like he was sporting headphones.

In a statement, the rapper’s attorney Bradford Cohen stated, “Mr. Scott was briefly detained due to a misunderstanding.” There was no physical altercation at all, and we appreciate the police assisting us in reaching a quick and peaceful conclusion.”

On March 1, 2023, Scott got into a brawl in a nightclub in New York City while performing; as a result, the NYPD issued an arrest warrant for the celebrity. Police claim that he assaulted a sound engineer who was employed by Club Nebula, breaking $12,000 worth of sound equipment.

At the time, Scott’s attorney, Mitchell Schuster, described it as “a misunderstanding being blown out of proportion by clickbait and misinformation.” It is said that Scott and the club came to an agreement, and he was never taken into custody.
