WPBN: Recently, nearby storage facilities in New Castle have been the target of a string of burglaries that are believed to have been carried out by three persons from the state of Connecticut.
Despite the fact that two of the suspects have been taken into custody, one of them is still at large, which is why the police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating him.
The names of the individuals who have been accused have been revealed to be Darryck Norris, age 31, Aaron Kearney, age 25, and Deshawn Sawyer, age 26.
According to the reports filed by the police, the three individuals are suspected of committing acts of vandalism and causing major damage to a number of storage containers at two different Public Storage locations in New Castle during the previous month.
During the course of the thefts, the authorities discovered that the suspects had utilized a method that had been meticulously planned out. When they arrived at the storage facilities, they would do so in a van that they had borrowed from Home Depot. This van would act as their escape vehicle.
Through the use of a fictitious account, they were able to circumvent the regular security measures and get access to the storage units upon their arrival.
More than thirty-five thousand dollars’ worth of stuff was allegedly taken by the accused in a single day. Personal things as well as precious assets that were stored by individuals and businesses were among the variety of objects that were seized.
After the suspects were identified, the authorities moved quickly to take action. A detention of Deshawn Sawyer took place in the state of Connecticut earlier this month.
In a short period of time after the issue of arrest orders for all three individuals, Aaron Kearney willingly turned himself in to the authorities.
Nevertheless, Darryck Norris, the third suspect, is still at large at this time. In spite of the fact that they are making persistent efforts to track him down, the police have not yet been successful in capturing him.
