JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — In 2014, Jessica Beth Wolford was killed, and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office wants to know who did it.
Wolford’s case is part of JSO’s “Cold Case Spotlight” program, in which they ask for help with an unsolved case every month.
Wolford was killed when she was 25 years old. On September 14, 2014, her body was found in the 3500 block of Chase Avenue, behind a church.
JSO said that the shooting wound that killed her was proof that she was killed.
Witnesses told police that they heard gunshots at about 5 a.m. and saw someone run away from the area.
The person in question was said to be a black man in his 40s who was wearing a dirty white T-shirt and blue pants. Police say that this person hasn’t been found yet and that there isn’t enough proof to be sure.
