Five individuals were killed in a shooting inside a house southeast of Seattle on Monday morning, and a juvenile was taken into custody, according to authorities.
At a press briefing on Monday afternoon, Mike Mellis, a spokesman for the King County Sheriff’s Office, stated that numerous people had called 911 at approximately five in the morning to report a gunshot in Fall City, Washington.
One kid was taken into jail by arriving deputies right away, while another teen who had been injured was transported to a hospital in Seattle, according to Mellis. According to Mellis, both teenagers reside at the residence.
He added that when deputies entered the house, they discovered the bodies of five persons. Mellis described three as young teenagers and two as adults. As of yet, no names have been disclosed.
“Once bodies were discovered, clearly we understand that this is a hugely significant crime scene,” he stated.
Although they were unsure of their relationship at the time, Mellis stated that the shooting seemed to involve family members. He added that the neighborhood was not under any continuous threat.

“I have no reason to think that there will be any additional arrests,” he stated.
According to Mellis, the arrested adolescent was admitted to the juvenile detention center in King County. According to an email from a representative of the county prosecuting attorney’s office, the teenager will appear in court for a first hearing on Tuesday or Wednesday.
The house was occupied by a couple and their five kids, a neighbor said KING-TV. Lynne Trowern told the news organization, “I’m just in total shock, I keep bursting into tears.”
When she heard of the incident, she was “very sad, very disturbed,” Sheriff Patricia Cole-Tindall stated.
