A vehicle collided with a tree in the vicinity of Federal Highway and Wiley Street in Hollywood. Subsequently, two individuals fled from the scene, leaving the police tight-lipped about their potential involvement.
According to investigators, the duo is believed to have traveled just a short distance, originating from Pembroke Road and US 1 near the Hollywood-Hallandale Beach border.
Witnesses report that at this location, a person was allegedly ejected from a car onto the street. However, the police have not disclosed the identity of the individual, whether they are a man or woman, and whether they are a victim or a suspect.
“I seen her fall to the floor, like she took a step, like she fell and just collapsed. I stopped and stood over her and i was asking her, is she okay?” Lequane Payne stated. He attempted to help, as did strangers. A 911 caller said that someone had been thrown out of the vehicle.
“They threw her out the car, she flew out the car,” he stated.
It is unknown to detectives how the person got onto the street or if they were forced out of the car. Only that they were wounded by many gunshots.
“The ambulance was saying she’s shot. They were saying for the police to come, ‘She’s shot.’ They were saying she’s shot,” Payne stated.
The deceased person’s identify has not been made public. Dial 954-493-TIPS to report information that could aid in this case, or contact Broward Crimestoppers.
