13-Year-Old Charged with Father’s Murder in DC Domestic Incident

According to a press statement issued by the Metropolitan Police Department, officers in Northwest District of Columbia have detained a kid who is 13 years old on suspicion of murdering his father.

The boy was taken into custody after a search warrant was executed by the department.

According to the news release, the officers of the MPD responded to a complaint of a male who had collapsed inside a building at roughly 8:00 a.m. on Monday, November 12.

Upon arrival, they discovered a man with “puncture wound injuries,” who succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Travis Dash, 41 years old, was identified as the victim. Dash was a resident of Northwest in the District of Columbia.

The age of the suspect is being kept under wraps, so he cannot be named.

The juvenile suspect has been taken into custody by the law enforcement officials, and he is being charged with murder in the second degree while armed.

The incident is being referred to by law authorities as a “domestic incident.”
