The FBI is currently helping in the hunt for a teenage girl from Utah who vanished last month while visiting family in Mexico City.

Authorities in Mexico City said that 14-year-old Elizabeth “Ely” Gonzalez was last seen on June 30 in the San Juan Tlihuaca area. The FBI stated that although her whereabouts remain unclear at the moment, investigators think she is still in Mexico.

FBI Special Agent Steven Hymas told that authorities had viewed footage that purportedly showed Gonzalez being coerced by an adult to get into a taxi. Since then, no one has seen her.

On July 1, Mexico City authorities reported that Gonzalez was the subject of an Amber Alert.

Gonzalez’s last known outfit were dark blue trousers, a black hoodie, and black and white Vans. She is characterized as having brown eyes and hair, standing five feet one inch and weighing 140 pounds.

The morning Gonzalez vanished, Gonzalez’s mother Alma Soreque claimed to have had a conversation with her daughter.

Gonzalez went for a soda on foot and never came back home, according to a call she got from her family later that day.
