A youngster who reportedly attempted to kill two guys on a Santa Barbara County beach has been taken into custody and charged with numerous offenses.
According to a joint press release from the Goleta Police Department and the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office, the 15-year-old was taken into custody following a gunshot at Haskell’s Beach in the Goleta city on Sunday at 12:51 a.m.
After being sent to the beach right away, deputies discovered two men in their 20s suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the authorities.
They also discovered that prior to shooting the victims, the suspect had flashed gang signs at them.
While one victim was shot in both legs, the other was hit in the hip. It is anticipated that everyone will survive, and there is no indication that the culprit and victims knew one another.
Less than two hours after the shooting, at 2:19 a.m., deputies were able to track down the suspect who had taken off on foot.
Law enforcement officials said that while he was running, he dropped a handgun. When deputies found the revolver, they discovered it belonged to an owner who lived out of the region but had not reported it stolen.

Two counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of a concealed firearm, gang enhancement, and enhancement for using a firearm in the commission of a felony were all brought against the teenager when they were checked into the Santa Maria Juvenile Hall.
Because of his age, the suspect was not recognized, and he is not eligible for bail as a juvenile. Juvenile Probation will hear the case and make a decision.
