According to authorities, a teen ex-boyfriend of the woman’s daughter killed her on Thursday in Homestead as payback for something.
After claiming to have killed 39-year-old Eulalia Gonzalez Martin De Osorio, police on Monday morning detained 16-year-old Eli Zachary Shinhoster at his house in the Princeton neighborhood of southwest Miami-Dade on a first-degree murder allegation.
In an arrest report from the Miami-Dade Police Department, Shinhoster admitted to using a ride-sharing vehicle to get to Gonzalez’s house in the 600 block of Northwest 11th Street just before 7:40 p.m., “with the intention of carrying out his plan to hurt his ex-girlfriend by killing one of her family members because she ended the relationship.”
Authorities added that Shinhoster acknowledged taking out a revolver, shooting Gonzalez while she was holding her infant daughter on her front porch, and running away.
He admits, according to the investigation, of scheduling a different Uber home and relocating the revolver to his belt. On top of her unhurt infant, Gonzalez was discovered by police unconscious. When Shinhoster shot her, a neighbor claimed to have heard him threaten, “I’ll fire.”
Police indicated that approximately two months prior to the murder, Gonzalez’s elder daughter had broken up with Shinhoster. About nine months had passed since the two started dating.

Shinhoster had been phoning Gonzalez concerning her daughter in the interim between the separation and the murder.
He allegedly threatened Gonzalez’s daughter as well, telling her that “she could not be with anyone else if she was not with him,” according to the police.
Shinhoster was taken into juvenile custody following the execution of a search order at his residence by the police, according to the report. It’s unclear at this time if Shinhoster, who is also accused of having a firearm while a child, will face adult charges.
