After serving time in jail for killing his mother and brother, a 45-year-old man was arrested this week for allegedly killing two people, shooting at a third, and setting a house on fire.

A statement claims that the Elizabethtown Fire Department responded to a residential fire in the 500 block of Hennon Lane on Wednesday, October 30, shortly before five in the morning. Firefighters reportedly found two dead people inside the house when they arrived.

The victims were Blake France, 41, and Anthony Garrett, 43, according to the Elizabethtown Police Department.

After the fire, police said, witnesses saw a gold pickup truck driving away, which investigators determined had been set on purpose. After locating the pickup truck at a nearby motel, officers were able to collect security footage showing a man, Dustin Caudill, exiting the vehicle brandishing a revolver.

When police investigated Caudill’s room, they found the victims’ personal belongings. After being taken into custody, Caudill allegedly admitted to killing France and Garrett and shooting a third party.

According to reports, Caudill disposed of the victims’ wallets in a garbage container at a petrol station.
