A fatal accident occurred in a northern suburb on Monday evening, as reported by the police. Palatine police stated that just before 3 p.m., they received a call about an accident at the intersection of Quentin Road and Hillside Street.

Chopper 7 was on the scene to provide aerial coverage.

The accident involved a single car that had collided with a utility post and a house, according to the police.

They confirmed that the driver, only identified as a female, was pronounced dead at the scene, with her age not yet determined. There were no other individuals in the vehicle, and no additional injuries were reported.

The investigation into the accident is being handled by the Major Case Assistance Team’s Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction unit in collaboration with Palatine police.

Quentin Road has been temporarily closed in both directions, specifically between Kenilworth Avenue and Glencoe Road, as the investigation continues.
