A Miami-Dade police officer, Daniel Ramos-Aviles, aged 40, has been arrested on serious charges for allegedly molesting three young children.
He was taken into custody on Monday night and transported to the Turner Guilford Knight Correction Facility without any issues, as stated in the arrest report.
Ramos-Aviles, a resident of Miami, is facing a total of seven charges, which include sexual battery on a minor, lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under 12, as well as lewd and lascivious exhibition on a child under 16.
He is currently being held in custody without the option of posting bond.
During the bond hearing on Tuesday, the judge issued three stay-away orders against Ramos-Aviles. The youngest victim is six years old, according to an attorney representing a witness in the case.
It has been reported that the victims were already known to Ramos-Aviles, and he did not meet them in the course of his duties as a seasoned police officer.
