Orlando has plenty of hotels and resorts, but Evermore Resort stands out by offering something unique: a beach experience.
Opened on January 1, 2024, the $1.5 billion Evermore Resort features a massive 17-million-gallon artificial lagoon. Situated on a 1,100-acre property near Walt Disney World, it replaces the former Villas at Grand Cypress.
Claiming to be “Orlando’s first-ever beach paradise,” Evermore boasts an 8-acre clear lagoon with sand imported from Pensacola Beach. Guests can enjoy swimming, paddleboarding, and kayaking.
The resort has various accommodation options, such as flats, villas, vacation homes, and a 433-room Conrad Hotel. With over a dozen dining choices, a boathouse for weddings and events, and two golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, Evermore offers a diverse range of amenities.
Mark Jones, one of the resort’s architects known for his work on Orlando’s Baldwin Park and Oakland Park neighborhoods, aimed to create a resort-style community.
“The goal was not unlike the way we create neighborhoods,” he stated. “It’s really about creating a community. We’ve moved all of the automobiles to the rear of the homes. The community is very walkable whether you’re going to the hotel for dinner, the beach club or whether you’re just trying to walk to the lagoon and to the pool.”
Although visitors can start reserving the villas and apartments, the Conrad Hotel—Orlando’s first—won’t open until January 9.
