Some Florida restaurants had a successful year and expanded, like Chow’s and B Mac’s Buffets. However, not all were fortunate. Some, such as Swamp Boil and The Coop, faced financial issues and had to close.
Another restaurant struggled with less income and hiring difficulties, leading to its closure. However, there are plans for a new restaurant in the same building in 2024.
Graffiti Junktion, an American Burger Bar with locations in Orlando and Jacksonville, serves hormone-free Angus burgers, nachos, wings, and wraps. The Orlando Thornton Park location has a 4 out of 5 stars rating on TripAdvisor, described by some as a “dive bar type of place,” with others praising the fries.

“…Great selection of burgers, wings, and drinks. The food might seem basic, but it’s amazing and the service is outstanding. Great place for a quick bite or to sit outside and relax.”
After ten years in operation, the eatery declared on March 23, 2023, that it would close its College Park location four days later. Greg Peters, the founder and president, told WFTV:
“After 10 years of an amazing ride in College Park, we are definitely shutting down on Monday, With the declining sales and the trouble we’re having to hire people, it was in our best interest to say ‘hey, it’s been a great 10-year run, but for us it’s just that time.'”
The Orlando Business Journal stated that because of its location, the restaurant’s space will probably be “highly sought after”.
Plans for the Location: The Orlando Sentinel reported in November 2023 that Mid Drive Dive, a restaurant, would open there at some point in 2024. In addition to comfort cuisine, the restaurant will have blue plate specials.
