JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — According to the police, three white men from Florida have been arrested in connection with the murder of a black man who they are believed to have pursued through the downtown area of Jacksonville.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Ryan Nichols, 19, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of a 39-year-old individual who has not been named.

The charges against Daniel DeGuardia, age 18, and Holden Dodson, age 21, include being an accessory after the fact.

On Thursday, the judge ordered Nichols to be detained without bail. According to the reports from the neighborhood, DeGuardia is being detained instead of a bond amount of $503,000, while Dodson was being held instead of a bail amount of $203,000.

The body of the deceased was discovered early on Tuesday morning next to a trash can, according to the officials.
