Suspects on the Loose After Pistol-Whipping Security Guard in Winter Garden!

WINTER GARDEN, Fla. -After a security guard was pistol-whipped early Sunday morning, police in Winter Garden are looking for one person who broke into a house.

At 3:42 a.m., police were called to Knox Nursery at 940 Avalon Road after a security guard reported that another security guard had hit him and that three “unauthorized” people were on the property.

The first security guard said that he works at the front gate and that three men with masks and blue hoodies came up to him while he was making his rounds. One man had a black gun in his hand and pointed it at him.

When the guard went to get his gun, he was hit with a pistol and thrown to the ground. He had cuts on his ears, so he was taken to the hospital.

The second security guard said that a suspect pointed a gun at him, so he pointed his own gun at the suspect. The suspects then ran away, and masks were said to be on their faces.

The police said they caught James Brenton, 34, and Jamar West, 36, but they are still looking for a third person.

Detective Sergeant Clarke asks that anyone with knowledge about this case call him at 407-656-3636.
