An armored truck company employee who admits to taking over $200,000 in cash meant for ATMs faces a maximum sentence of 30 years in jail.
In U.S. District Court in Columbus, Reynoldsburg resident Justin Eskridge, 37, entered a guilty plea to embezzling money while working as a bank agent, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio.
Eskridge worked at Loomis LLC as an armed services technician.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eskridge, who started working for Loomis in July 2021, delivered cash bags to several ATMs and PNC Bank locations.
Prosecutors claim that the thefts occurred between Dec. 14, 2022, and Jan. 9, 2023.

Prosecutors claim that bank tellers who performed the balancing on specific ATMs reported a shortfall of almost $226,000. Investigators discovered that Loomis was the worker in charge of maintaining the ATMs.
Eskridge admitted to the thefts, according to the prosecution, and around $144,000 was discovered concealed in his car. As part of his plea agreement, he will reimburse Loomis for the outstanding amount.
The sentencing has not been set for a date.
