Tennessee Authorities Nab 49-Year-Old in Child Internet Crimes Sting

A 49-year-old man has been charged and arrested in relation to an ongoing investigation into online child sexual exploitation by special agents assigned to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

After learning from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a person—later identified as Ernest Brown—who had several files containing images of child sexual assault and was sharing them on Facebook, TBI agents launched an investigation.

Agents later found that Brown had over 5,000 files containing information about child sexual assault.

Brown was charged with ten counts of sexual harassment of a minor and two counts of aggravated sexual harassment of a minor after agents searched his home today with the help of TBI’s Criminal Investigation Division, TBI’s Cybercrime & Digital Evidence Unit, the Henry County Sheriff’s Department, and Homeland Security Investigations.
