HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — On Wednesday, two men are in jail because they led police on a high-speed chase through Hillsborough County.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office says that Jacari Arnold, age 36, and Devada Hines, also age 36, broke into cars in Orlando and Tampa.
Two suspects ran away from a traffic stop in Hillsborough County, so local police worked with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, and the Florida Highway Patrol to find them.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office shared drone footage of the suspects driving a white car while being chased by six troopers. The two suspects were finally caught by a highway patrol trooper. Video shows that the trooper’s car pushed their car off the road, causing it to flip over.
Then, Florida Highway Patrol officers are seen putting the two suspects in jail.
Deputies say that during the arrests, they found a lot of things, like 15 Florida driver’s licenses, a passport, and about 70 credit cards and gift cards.
Sheriff Chad Chronister said, “These men were careless and put a lot of drivers in danger.” “Together, patrol and aviation units were able to get these dangerous criminals off the streets and keep the community safe.”
Arnold and Hines were both charged with breaking into a car, having tools for breaking into cars, and running away at a fast speed.
