On May 10, Blake Miles entered a guilty plea to both counts of animal cruelty he was charged with. He will receive credit for the 164 days that he has already spent in jail toward his 12-month term in the county jail. The charges of petit theft, on the other hand, will be dropped.
Midway through November, the JSO said that it started receiving calls concerning cats that had gone missing or had died in the neighborhood.

Reports of Action On November 18, Jax spoke with neighbors about the cats, and they indicated that there were more than 20 cats that were either missing or dead over the course of the previous six weeks.
