According to the authorities, three white males from Florida have been detained in connection with the slaying of a black man in downtown Jacksonville, who they are accused of chasing around the city.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Ryan Nichols, 19, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of a 39-year-old individual who has not been identified. The charges against Daniel DeGuardia, age 18, and Holden Dodson, age 21, include being an accessory after the fact.
On Thursday, the court decided that Nichols should be detained without bail. According to the reports from the neighborhood, DeGuardia is being detained in lieu of a bond amount of $503,000, while Dodson was being held in lieu of a bail amount of $203,000.
The body of the deceased was discovered early on Tuesday morning next to a trash can, according to the officials. According to accounts from the area, the three males were taken into custody the next day after detectives examined evidence found at the site as well as security video.
The authorities didn’t reveal much information about the case, and they didn’t offer any possible explanations.
According to the allegations made by the investigators, Nichols pursued the victim, who was then followed in a car by the two other suspects. According to the sheriff’s office, the three individuals drove away after having some form of interaction with the victim.
