A week has passed since the 83-year-old man’s travel from Florida was canceled owing to unresolved CrowdStrike outage-related difficulties.
On July 21, Patrick A. Bailey checked in for his departure from Orlando International Airport; however, the Orlando Police Department stated that the trip was canceled “due to lingering results from the CrowdStrike outage.”
“Bailey spent the night at a local hotel and checked out the following morning. However, he did not take a flight home,” police said on X. Since then, no one has heard from him.
“We really are at a loss to figure out how to find him,” the man’s son, Patrick Bailey Jr., stated.
Bailey Jr. added that after seeing his sister in Florida, his father was taking a plane back to Oregon.
“He checked in his bags and then his flight got canceled with all the issues with the airlines,” his son stated. “Nobody got any notices about him getting home. Nobody had heard from him.”
The 83-year-old’s family hasn’t been able to find him using his smartphone, according to WESH.
“The problems really started because he forgot his cellphone at the hotel and we really don’t have any other ways of communicating with him or finding out where he is at,” Bailey Jr. stated.
According to the airline that Bailey Jr.’s father was scheduled to travel on, he did not board the aircraft.
“He could have possibly taken another airline,” he stated. “But he hasn’t shown up at home. We’ve had people check his house.”
After leaving the Navy, the man’s son said, his father went on to become a long-haul truck driver, so it’s feasible he could have rented a car and driven home. The 83-year-old returned the rental automobile and did not receive a new one, according to the firm he rented from while in the Sunshine State.
Furthermore, Bailey Jr. stated that he is unsure if his father could even handle the drive because he was just admitted to the hospital for a back ailment.

“I just don’t think he’s physically up for the drive of going all the way across the country with his current condition,” he stated.
He’s hoping someone will find his father soon, although police were consulting with other automobile rental businesses to find out where he was last seen.
Call 911 or get in touch with the Orlando Police Department if you see Patrick Bailey. No other information was given, but the man’s daughter stated that Louisiana police were attempting to pursue a lead in his abduction.
