Law enforcement and reports confirm that Orange County experienced a violent Saturday, resulting in multiple shooting incidents and two fatalities.
During the course of the day, four individuals sustained gunshot wounds, and tragically, two of them lost their lives. One of the deceased victims was accidentally shot.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, on Saturday evening, two women were shot, with one succumbing to her injuries.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:40 p.m., prompting deputies to respond to a shooting report in the 10700 block of International Drive. The wounded woman was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital but sadly passed away later.
Eyewitnesses informed the deputies that the shooting had occurred inside a vehicle near the intersection of International Drive and Central Florida Parkway.
It was revealed that the discharge of a firearm was accidental, resulting in the female passenger being struck, as reported by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
The ongoing investigation indicates the cooperation of all involved parties with the deputies, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Additionally, on Saturday, another shooting incident took place at the Metro Place Apartments on South Kirkman Road.
A woman sustained injuries and was subsequently taken to the hospital, as confirmed by the Orlando Police to Wesh. Currently, no information about a suspect has been released, and the investigation remains in progress.
Furthermore, an early Saturday shooting occurred at a banquet hall located near Pine Hills, specifically at 2620 N. Hiawassee Road.
The incident resulted in one fatality, with another individual in critical condition and two others injured, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
The deceased victim was identified as Willie Alphonso Bell Jr., 28 years old, while the ages of the injured individuals ranged from their 20s to 30s.
Despite numerous attendees present at the banquet hall, none of them came forward to provide information to law enforcement.
