Male Model Arrested in Gruesome Stabbing at New York City Apartment Lobby

Prosecutors announced on Saturday that a 20-year-old male model has been charged with stabbing to death a man in New York City.

Dynus Saxon, 20, was charged and arraigned late Friday in connection with the murder of 35-year-old Kadeem Grant on November 10. Second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon are the charges against him.

New York City Police Department (NYPD) discovered the 35-year-old victim in an apartment building in Mott Haven with a knife wound to his chest.

“[P]olice responded to a 911 call of a male stabbed inside of 384 Grand Concourse, within the confines of the 40 Precinct,” the NYPD’s statement stated. “Upon arrival, officers observed a 35-year-old male with a stab wound to the chest. EMS responded to the location and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.”

Until his subsequent court appearance on December 3, Saxon will be detained without bond. According to the Daily News, prosecutors stated he had a big bandage on his right hand from an injury he received during the attack.

The motive for the stabbing has not been disclosed by the prosecution. As reported by a local at the scene of the stabbing, the victim was “super bloody.”

The woman added that her brother had taken a picture of the event. “I heard that there was, like, tons of blood in the lobby,” she said. The man my brother showed me appeared to be in his undies or something, and he was covered in blood. … He had a really bloody appearance.

“He was like just laying on the ground, handcuffed behind his back, cops everywhere,” she continued. “He was like in his drawers, bloody, bloody hands, bloody on his thigh. Crazy.”

On Tuesday, Saxon’s Instagram account, which seemed to have been disabled, featured his modeling work. His portfolio was suddenly taken down from ONE Management’s website, where he was formerly represented.
