According to authorities on Monday, a Manteca mother and her 5-year-old child perished in an early Sunday morning horrific crash in Livermore. Around 2:30 a.m., a single vehicle crashed on South Vasco Road close to Naylor Avenue.

According to an inquiry, the black Hyundai was heading north on South Vasco Road when it smashed into a tree and went off the road after passing through the crossroads of Las Positas Road for an unidentified reason.

Investigators think the car caught fire as a result of the impact from the collision.

The car was completely destroyed by fire, and a 25-year-old man was taken out. After being taken to the hospital, he and his 5-year-old daughter passed away, according to the police. The man’s health is still very serious.

The mother of the kid, 24, passed away at the scene, according to the police. Whether driving while intoxicated played a role in the collision is currently unknown.
